NMJW: Pupy y Los Que Son, Son at ABQ Museum Amphitheater

César de las Mercedes Pedroso Fernández, “Pupy” is a Cuban composer who has been one of the major influences over the past 40 years in Cuban music. Known for his Cuban group Los Van Van, formed by Pupy and Juan Formell, the group created a new musical style and rhythm: the Songo. After parting from Los Van Van, Pupy created a new band called Pupy y Los Que Son Son.  The group debuted on October 4, 2001 and created a new style of Timba. Pupy has written over 150 compositions. Musicians such as the late Celia Cruz, Adalberto Santiago and Alfredo de la Fe are among some of the performers who have covered Pupy’s songs. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to see one of the best salsa bands in the world!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
