Hey, Music Central Musicians! Every Tuesday and Wednesday nights Chris Dracup hosts Open Mic Night at Brickyard Pizza - 8:30 to 11:30 pm. I dropped this off the NMMC calendar a year ago but recently a musician at an IPCC event convinced me this is a great/fun event that should be announced.

Chris is a Meetup favorite, often performing with Hillary Smith. A lifelong New Mexico resident, he began performing at the age of sixteen in his hometown of Taos. Since then he has been a singer and lead guitarist with some favorite NM bands, including The Muttz, The Rattle Cats, The Chris Dracup Trio and The Chris Dracup Project.
Known for his stunning and soulful electric blues guitar, he works in a diverse range of musical styles. His acoustic guitar playing draws heavily from the blues tradition, an eclectic mix of Delta slide, country blues and jazz influences. His songwriting has garnered critical and popular acclaim and won him an enduring fan base.
In 2002, Chris and the Chris Dracup Trio became finalists in the New Mexico Music Showcase. He has also been a featured performer at some of the region's top music festivals, including the Thirsty Ear Festival, The Telluride Blues and Brews Festival and the Silver City Blues Festival. He has shared the stage with many popular touring acts.
