At our night hike Sunday, we were discussing places to go for this next art walk and the idea of cave photography came up.
So... How does that sound for you guys?
Currently some of the caves at El Malpais NM are open on a permit basis and some are still closed for the white nose syndrome that affects bats. If we meet at the Visitor Center at the usual time, I can go through the permitting process with everyone and make sure our gear is clean. So... If you have been in a cave with your camera or boots since 2005, you will need to go through a decontamination station prior to entering the caves. Otherwise, bring and wear stuff that has never been in a cave and we are safer yet. Sounds like a great opportunity to try new photographic ideas, and please bring a flashlight or 2 per person. See ya on the 15th! :)

Hey Gang, if you brought a framed or mounted piece for the art show in March. I took it down to rotate displays in June. Please Please come by the Northwest New Mexico Visitor Center and pick up your work. These are some beautiful paintings and photos in equally beautiful frames. I would hate for them to get damaged in storage. You can get them at this month's art walk. ( 9am Sunday the 15th) or any time you might be cruisin past on 40, stop in the visitor center.
We will have another showing this March, so please join us for yet another fun and inspiration filled art walk! :)
