This meetup is for anyone who enjoys walking and meeting new people. Most days, we will be a walking group, while other days an adventure group. We'll walk at our own pace; some of us will walk a little faster and some will want to walk a little slower.
We know that people come to meetups to meet other people and, hopefully, form friendships. In our group, we pride ourselves on being welcoming and friendly to each other, whether you're new to the group or have been a member for a while.
After some of the walks, we have a scheduled coffee/breakfast/dinner and you are all welcome to join us (OPTIONAL). The meeting place will change from time to time, but will mostly be within Essex County. There will be the occasional meetup where we get-together for other activities and out-of-town jaunts! We are a fun and welcoming group and look forward to meeting you at our next walk.
Participating in NNJ Sole Mates is entirely voluntary and you are responsible for your own safety. When you RSVP 'Yes' for any NNJ Sole Mate walks/events, you are confirming that you understand and accept the risks, dangers and hazards of any outdoor activity and you are releasing and discharging the NNJ Sole Mate organizer (including assistant organizers and hosts) against any liability that arises from your participation in our group or its activities. Your organizer is a volunteer with no special training or qualifications. Think of me as a friend showing you around a place that I enjoy. I am not responsible for your safety or actions or anyone else’s.
Please note that soliciting is not allowed in our group. In order to join our group, a real photo of yourself must be posted (not of your dog, cat, etc.). Late cancellations and no-shows are unkind. After three no-shows, you will be removed from our Meetup group.
Please take a look at our Liability Disclaimer & Waiver, as well as our Attendance and Cancellation Policy on the PAGES tab at the top of our Meetup Site.
