Sunrise wordless walk #4

I need to reboot my summer clock. And the best way I know how to do this is by being up for sunrise. So I'll be walking at the swamp, before it gets super hot, on the beautiful Bayou Coquille and Marsh overlook trail for four days to begin July. Morning walking meditation, quiet and just present with all of my senses, sounds really lovely to me! Come join me if you like! Possible chatting and coffee at Starbucks afterward!

A quiet walk with a subtle sunrise. Heard lots of owls, and were visited by a good-sized gator!

Ok peeps who are joining the sunrise walk - here are my tips: Don't come if you are troubled by bugs. But surprisingly not mosquitoes! Wear light clothing, wear a hat or bandana to keep the flies from landing in your hair. Try a light color. Long pants are probably a good thing - it's in the 70s in the morning so not too bad!

I would stay on Barataria Boulevard all the way until it takes you through the flood walls into the park. It will still be darkish at 5:30. You're looking for a sign that says "Bayou Coquille". It will be a couple of tenths of a mile after the "Twin Canals" sign. Then park there, just off the road.

If you have questions or need further help or explanation, call or text me at 205.907.9955. Check out pics from the past two days - it was beautiful to be out there and the bird song alone is worth it! :)
