My dear convivial readers--
In the interest of shameless self-promotion, your humble organizer wishes to inform you that I will be performing in a radio-play production of the holiday classic, It’s A Wonderful Life on Sunday, December 18 at 7:30pm at the Deutches Haus. (FYI--I play the ever-demure, long-suffering wife, Mary Bailey, who was played by Donna Reed in the film version.)
The presentation is produced by the NOLA Voice Talent Foundation, following successful productions in the last two years, and is presented as a 1940’s-style “live radio broadcast”, with professional actors “behind-the-mic,” script-in-hand, accompanied by full-scale sound effects and scoring.
Tickets are only $15! I have some to sell and you can also buy them online with a PayPal account. Since there is only one performance, I suspect they will sell out very early.
Deutches Haus is at 1023 Ridgewood Dr., 70001, just off Airline Highway in Metairie. They’ll be selling their German fare before the show and the bar will be open before and during intermissions. So, you could come early and get something to eat, if you were so inclined. There is plenty of free, lighted parking.
It's a beautiful production, with lots of talent and heart. I think it will be great fun and it’s appropriate for the whole family (except the very youngest due to the two hour run time.) Please join us for a fantastic holiday event!
