Please come to our monthly general meetings on the first Wednesday of each month. Listen to our speakers who talk on computer topics. We don't get into advanced topics. We have had a private investigator and a lawyer speak about finding information about people.
We have had, at the general meeting, Jerry Serigni, now of Fox 8, speak about hurricane preparedness for your home and office and yur computers. We have had someone from the Jefferson Parish library speak about finding information on the Internet. One of members has spoken about "Solving Common Computer Problems." And those are from just some of our past meetings.
You are also invited to our New/Intermediate user group. It meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
It's designed for members and guests to ask questions. People will ask questions such as "What do I do to get _________ to work?" Or, "I'm having trouble doing ____________________ and it won't work. What can I do?"
No question is too basic. And no question is too complex. Members return to each meeting -- and they return because they are always learning something at the meetings.
Mac users are also invited to both meetings. Although ours is a PC group, much of what is discussed applies to both Mac and to PC.
All are welcome. Please e-mail our organizer if you have any questions. Come to a meeting and we think you'll return for another one.
