I am currently pregnant and my expected due date is at the end of August 2011. I am Vietnamese, married to a Caucasian husband and looking to network with other Asian pregnant moms or new parents. I enjoy meeting people from all cultures and background and I have many good non-Asian friends.  However, since I just moved to the Northern Virginia area less than a year ago, I do not know many Asians here. I would like to introduce my kid to the Asian culture when she's born. I do not think that currently there is other meetup group specifically for Asian expected or new parents in the area.  The purpose of the group is to connect foreign-born or American-born Asian pregnant moms, as well as new parents with at least one Asian spouse. Hopefully we will be able to create a core group of friends with similar cultures and establish a great network of support.
