The Nondescript Atheist

  • Nov 14, 2013 · 6:00 PM

The Nondescript Atheist is my new atheist show. Unlike other shows, I hope to not just preach to the choir. Talking to people who agree with you gets boring quickly. My goal is to start a dialog with religious people in the community so we can all better understand where we each of us base our beliefs. I hope to bring in clergy and other religious experts as guests each week. The discussion will be lively, but with no religion bashing or personal attacks. Each show will have a theme that we will discuss, and hopefully there will be some differences of opinion. I'm sure there will be.

The call-in number for the show is:[masked]-TALK [masked])

You can listen to the show live on Cox and Verizon FIOS channel 37 and at http://radiofairfax.com

Tonight we will discuss prayer in council meetings and other government meetings. Recently, the Supreme Court had oral arguments about the prayer case from Greece, NY. I had the opportunity to join my friends outside the Supreme Court, where we promoted a secular government, which excludes sectarian practices. There will be no guests, but I will share some discussions I had with people outside the Supreme Court.
Again, please call in with your views at[masked]-TALK.
