Election Night @ Rick and Ellen's House

Join us on election night to watch the returns come in. It's BYOB. We'll probably order pizzas.

N.B. We are an Obama-friendly house. So, if you are a supporter of sociopathic theocrats who want to give women exactly the same control over their own bodies as the Taliban does, who doesn't care enough about America to pay taxes, and who is utterly beholden to teabaggers and bankers, you might be more comfortable at a different gathering.

Libertarians who understand that, whatever complaints you may have with government or these two candidates, one of these guys IS going to be president, and who understands that Romney IS the worst case scenario for the economy, for women, for the middle class, and for the future of the planet, can come if they play well with others.

Is the entry ticket to this party an "I voted" sticker on your shirt? :)

Boy this looks like such a good party! I wish I hadn't opened my big mouth and invited the neighborhood over to my house for tomorrow.

Vote Mittens...I can't even say that with a straight face. I've been doing my part in convincing people to vote democrat.

If we lived closer, we would love to come and hopefully cheer for an Obama win. You can be absolutely sure that I will not be voting for theocrats who salivate over controlling women's bodies.

I'll talk with my wife and plan on coming with our kid(and my libertarian/losing vote).

With respect, being atheist neither requires nor implies affiliation to any particular political party.

Also... Atheists who are republicans; how does THAT even happen? I know it happens but I don't get it. Maybe some mistakenly imagine that the current gang of science denying, bible thumping, misogynistic idiots who call themselves 'republicans" bear any resemblance to the once-great GOP.

Like the democrats, the republicans take positions on a wide range of social and financial issues. Favoring republicans would only require them being stronger on the issue(s) that you can about most and how you weight issue(s) in importance.
