We will kick off a new Bible study, which will meet twice a month (every other Friday), for a total of 7 sessions. It’s a DVD study by Francis Chan called “Basic.” http://basicseries.com/

Trends come and go in our culture and the church seems to follow. BASIC is a series of short films that challenges us to reclaim the church as Scripture describes it to be. This series speaks to those who have questions about the church and to those who may have lost interest in the church.
What is church?
You are church.
I am church.

Session 1 will focus on “Fearing God”
What does the Bible mean when it tells us to fear God? Is it a kind of respect or reverence as many in the church seem to see it today, or is it really more of a paralyzing fear that can drive you to your knees in trembling? A clear understanding of what the Bible teaches can lead to a true fear of God, which can ultimately lead to the life we were intended to live.
This is a video-based series, but we will not be watching the videos as a group. Instead, we ask that you watch the video ahead of time (approximately 15 minutes), so that we can focus on a discussion during the time we meet. We have set up a private site on YouTube where we will upload the video. Once you RSVP, within 1-2 days we will email you a link for the video (and we ask for your patience as we work out any bugs with this process).
