    All 4 speakers were great and covered thought-provoking topics even for those familiar with search engine technology like lucene/solr. Erik did a great job of covering the basics in just a few minutes, Ryan covered some far out nitch geospatial topics, and Ching's was interesting from the point of view of solving real world problems with making sense bad data. Aaron's talk showed some amazing prowess in really tuning lucene to operate on a pretty amazing scale. He gave lots of hard and fast rules for making lucene perform at those kinds of scales but I'd love to hear more about the why behind some of these rules. Speakers all stayed very late to answer questions and had a great attitude about sharing their experiences. Many thanks.
