Setting up a Home Media Center with Raspberry Pi

Rick Hower presents:

Raspberry Pi, Raspbmc OS, XBMC with Hulu/Youtube/etc addons, wireless connection, TV remote control for RPi.

We'll discuss:
• Raspberry Pi, Linux, XBMC - basics for those new to any or all of them
• Where to get the hardware and software needed for a media center setup
• How much things will cost (generally free or not much!)
• Basic how-to steps to setup/install/configure things
• How to deal with some common problems/gotchas during install/setup/configure
• Pros and cons of RPi/XBMC media center vs other over-the-net setup vs standard in-home media
• For more experienced/knowledgeable attendees, your input will be encouraged during discussions, and we'll take a few minutes to discuss other cool stuff people are doing or planning  with their RPi's and/or XBMC

A Raspberry Pi/XBMC setup will be available to try out for attendees who haven't seen this before.

Our parking lot is crowded, so please plan to park across the street:

Thanks Rick for the great presentation!
I couldn't wait, so the first thing I did after arriving home was to install the awesome RaspBMC!

This sounds very interesting, is any plan to go further and build a XBMC media center with mythTV with DVR capabilities?
