BIKE RIDE DETAILS!

• 12pm thru 1pm - park at Reston North lot and visit NOVA Labs makerspace for tours while bike riders arrive.

1pm - Ride Start!  From the Reston North park and ride lot,  travel on the W&OD trail.

2:30pm - Bikers turn off W&OD trail at Rally Point with Safety Escort.

3pm - Meet at the Lost Rhino Brewery in Ashburn.

5pm - Event ends. Optional return transportation will be available.

NOVA Labs has partnered with the Lost Rhino Brewery and the Bike Lane to create this event, which will include a bike ride from NOVA Labs in Reston to the Lost Rhino Brewery in Ashburn, VA. The distance of the ride is ten miles each way, at a leisurely pace. Once at the Lost Rhino Brewery, there will be live music, discounts on food, beverages, swag and demonstrations by the Rhino Hawk team.

This event will raise money for the Rhino Hawk UAV. The project team is comprised of volunteers from the local area who are participating in the Wildlife Conservation UAV Challenge. This project challenges participants to build a UAV capable of identifying rhino poachers in Kruger National Park, South Africa. Our team has two flight demonstration models and we are on our way to having a fully integrated flying model.

We hope you will join us to support our fight against rhino poaching on Sunday, June 29th.
