GEMS/Girl Makers of Nova Labs field trip to Home Depot.

The purpose is to encourage girls in STEM and hands-on making. There will be a tour, demonstrations, and a project that the girls can take home. Allow at least two hours for this event.

​NOTE: PLEASE only signup if you are SURE you will/can attend. Good relations with community businesses is vital to Nova Labs and we want to set a good example for our kids.

A few more details:

1.  Ages 8-12    (Very strict HD rule please, no exceptions).

2.  Girls only tools orientation/build session.

3. Arrive at N. Reston Home Depot at  8:45am. Event ends approx. 11.

4.  Parent drop off only.   Only RSVP for the # of students. There will be chaperones as well as Home Depot staffers. 

5. RSVP the # of girls, do not include parents since this is a drop-off event per request of Home Depot.

    Thanks I will clarify that. They requested limited chaperones so we are asking the parents to drop off. They can shop or get coffee. Hmm. Maybe we should make a list of parent phone numbers and also give you guys a cell phone now that you have me thinking.

    Hi Jennyfer, it's a little unclear as to whether it's intended to be drop-off only or if it's preferred/expected that a parent stays? I just want to RSVP for the right number of people, but it's only 1 child.
