I can do some basic wood working and electrical repairs, but that is about it. I haven't done any serious building or electrical work since vo-tech in junior high (I went to a school where it was mandatory). As for what I want to learn, I first want to develop the skills to build my own electric guitar and repair/modify guitars. Again, I've done basic stuff like upgrade tuners and install strap locks, but haven't messed with any electrical, woodworking or finishing stuff on a guitar. The skills I would need to develop include: Woodworking (along with routing and machining), soldering and general electronics repair, and how to finish wood surfaces. At some point I could also see myself wanted to build a tube amp as well, which would be getting into more advanced electronics. I'm sure after seeing what all is being worked on at the space, I'll be adding a lot more to the list of things I'd love to be able to build.
I am an IT professional with too many hobbies and I guess it looks like I may be adding another. On the geeky/nerdy side, I'm into anime, sci-fi/fantasy, comics, and gaming. On the non-geeky side, music, skiing, inline skating and photography.
