I'm a recent transplant to the DC area, and do threat intelligence (and some computer forensics) for a private company. Other interests include the weather, other science related fields, baseball and football (ok, and hockey).
I've worked in various computer related fields since the 1990's, and have specialized in Operations, Backup/Recovery, Disaster Recovery, and now Security. I currently work to find the things our tools don't catch, and figure out how they behave, and how to stop them before damage is done. I'm passionate about , and am always looking for better ways of injecting new information and IOC's into our current processes and tools, as well as the responsible sharing of threat information. I'd also love to learn more about assembly, and code analysis.
Hi Aaron! Thanks for joining Nova Labs. It sounds like you're a techie (I am too) but don't let that limit you. We've got a wood shop, an electronics shop, 3d printing build groups, etc. On the InfoSec side, we've got the Packet Parties, Binary Bash, and the new Malware Analysis classes in development. Hope to see you at the space!
