Manassas Acoustic Jam Pages

This group's purpose is to organize regular acoustic jam sessions in a supportive and friendly environment.

This is not an open mic. If the purpose of an open mic is for an individual to prepare a 15-20 min performance and present it to an audience. The contrast is that the purpose of this group is to offer any player or singer, novice to advanced, an opportunity to jam with others in a relaxed group environment.

So come and by and listen, play or sing. There are beginners who have only been playing a few months and professional players. There have been guitar, banjo, bass, ukulele, and Cajón players. The way the group works is that anyone may suggest a song. The chords are written on a white board so everyone can see them. And the groups jumps in a plays and sings.

You will find that many of the players will offer tips and insight. It's an easy going; fun group; open to meeting new people. It's free, and often there is pizza!
