I love whatever is currently creating beauty in my garden..either because of the foliage or because of the flowers...I'm easy. I LOVE creating cut flower arrangements to give to friends and family. Veggie wise...I eat a cucumber most everyday of my life, hence they become an important part of my garden. Nothing like biting in to a cuke you grew yourself.
The great outdoors!... and the beauty of living things. The Master Gardeners of the New River Valley collect produce for turnover to local perishable food groups each Saturday at the Blacksburg Farmers Market...it has become one of my most rewarding roles in being aware of what we can collectively give back to our neighbors in need. Two tons of food went to these groups last year through the teaming of those that realize what an impact we can have. There is nothing that compares to the satisfaction of knowing you made a difference in what healthy options we have to contribute to those that might not otherwise see this kind of food on their tables. Please let me know if you'd like to join our team.
Since I was old enough to pick a tomato off the vine.
Lynn Brammer I grew up on a farm that kept three gardens going all summer and have been a Master Gardener since 1997. There is an amazing satisfaction in relaying information and getting involved in the gardening community in the New River Valley.
thank you Eddie for this cool site that connects us all!
