Intermediate Indoor Volleyball: Kratos Libertyville

Cost is $7 CASH ONLY - Doors open at 6:45 to start warming up.  This is an INTERMEDIATE level event, and RECREATIONAL levels players should not attend.  You are expected to have some experience playing volleyball.  Most rallies consist of 3 hits (pass, set, attack).  We reserve the right to move players to the appropriate skill level net, or even offer a refund to players that don't meet our skill requirement in an effort to keep games safe, competitive, and fun.

I guarantee there will be an intermediate net this week as long as we have a minimum of 4 people attend.

THIS FACILITY USES SPORT COURT FLOORING.  VOLLEYBALL SHOES ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.  YOU MUST WEAR CLEAN GYM SHOES ON THE COURT.  STREET SHOES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.  YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE COURT WITH DIRTY SHOES.

The gym closes at 10, and you need to be ready to walk out with your stuff at 10.  Not 10:05.

Please make sure your skill level meets our INTERMEDIATE skill level requirement.

Here is the definition of INTERMEDIATE for our group:

THIS IS BEING REVISED... Players here know the basics and are learning / practicing advanced techniques and court positioning. With each possession there is an attempt to pass, set and attack (spike) the ball.  Players usually overhand serve with some control, and while typically getting the ball in play, still make errors when attempting to do so with power. Attacks are more controlled but frequently are still weak (more like roll shots than hits down), and while designated setters are now being used, they almost exclusively come from the front line. Play is more consistent but frequently there are breakdowns in terms of power and control. Players are more competitive here but generally have not played for a long time and have a tendency to overestimate their skill levels and strengths.

Hi all - This week we'll have a free organizer mini-clinic on blocking technique hosted by me. If you want to get some tips on the details of how to block, including jumping form, hand position, body position, etc., please come!

We'll meet early, at 6:15pm, for a brief explanation and a few drills.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
