The Occupy Wall St. Nonviolent Communication Support Line has been up for three weeks now and is seeking more volunteers to be facilitators and/or empathizers.

HOW YOU CAN HELP (without even leaving your home!):

Email Ronnie at tanguera@msn.com if you'd enjoy playing one of the
following roles.

- SKILLED TRAINERS/ FACILITATORS who are willing both to host a 2 hour slot on the Nonviolent Communication Support Line. The facilitator's role is to facilitate the "group room" where callers "arrive". This will involve both creating a sense of inclusion/belonging/welcome, and offering an experience of empathy/NVC, whether through a guided practice, or simply through be-ing it on the call, with some explanation as needed. I recommend that facilitators be those who have a fair amount of experience in supporting connection to happen in a group setting.

- SKILLED EMPATHIZERS who are willing to be on the 2 hour call with the facilitator, helping hold the space for NVC and support one-on-one empathy or specific dialogues by taking callers who need it into "breakout rooms". I recommend that empathizers be those who have a fair amount of experience in empathizing with others, and are comfortable at the idea of doing that over the phone. Even better are empathizers that have some experience at third-siding/mediation/circle facilitation.

How it will work:

If you sign up, all the info you need will be provided by email.

If you're interested in helping us get the skills and consciousness of NVC to people involved in or affected by the Occupy movement, sign up with Ronnie at:
