Jeremys Run/Knob Mountain

A Level Hike - Shenandoah National Park

Join us for a swim on a 14 mile challenging circuit hike with an elevation change of 2100 feet. Jeremys Run is one of the most beautiful streams in the northern section of the Park. The trail cross the stream 14 times so be prepared to cool down with a refreshing dip in a cool mountain stream.

Hike Leader: Gene Vivalda[masked] (H)

Car Pool Fee:  $11.00

Hike rating is based on both the linear distance and elevation change with 400 feet of climbing considered equivalent to 1 mile linear distance. The ratings are:
A=Difficult (greater than 13 miles)
B=Moderately Difficult (10-13 miles)
C=Moderate (7-10 miles)

    Just a few thoughts from the group leader:
    Make sure you bring enough least three to four litters.
    Bring extra socks in case you slip on one of the stream crossings.
    Plan to perspire, so think about bringing a change of least a spare shirt and towel if you plan to cool off in the stream.
    As for dogs....we usually encourage dogs, but please make sure your dogs are up for this hike....lots of stream crossings, excessive heat and a large group of hikers......and please bring a leash if you decide to bring your dog.

    This is a great hike....looking forward to meeting you all.

    I have two small dogs that I usually always bring with me if I am camping, hiking or backpacking. Can I bring them to this hike?

    I would love to come to the hike, but would need a ride, if possible. I'm in DC.... But, I can get to a metro, given the time.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
