A big shout out to Michele who is our 120th member! woohooo!
Also, don't forget the meeting on Thursday at the Drowsy Poet. Check the calendar for time and details.
Hope everyone is enjoying the (slightly) cooler weather. Very conducive to writing, or is that procrastinating? I recommend writing outdoors, keeps the brain cells fresh. Really, I'm not making that up!
Also, November is National Novel Writing Month, so for all you NaNoWriMo's out there, hope you are scribbling down notes for your soon to be written opus! I know we have NaNo's in Navarre, and I will be hosting weekly write-ins. Everyone is welcome. Come prepared to write and stare at the Gulf. If the weather cooperates and we can utilize the pavilions at the state park, we will have plenty of room to spread out so those that want to discuss a plot point or the latest episode of Walking Dead won't interrupt those feverishly churning out the words.
Do we have anyone who wants to volunteer to host write-ins in Destin or Crestview or any other location in our viewing area? You just need a place to write and the desire to do so. It's kind fun to all be writing in a group, flurries of key tapping or pencil scribbling, eyes meeting over the top of laptop screens...
My national board exam got moved to November 8th! EEEK! So I will definitely host a write-in on the 1st to get us off to a great start. Just might be studying, though... :-(
anyway, as always...WRITE ON!
