Two things: A) Your profile photo MUST be a CROPPED SOLO HEAD SHOT, so that you’re recognizable using the Meetup mobile app. Please, DON’T waste your time submitting anything else. B) Three "no shows" will get you removed from the group. Agreed?
Yes, I do.
What do you like best about NW Philly?
It's my original home. Clean, quiet neighborhoods.
Which neighborhood do you live in? For how long?
Please suggest 1 or 2 activities for the group.
Games (board/cards/etc), films
Grew up in Mount Airy. Was away for over a decade. Now I'm there here again.
Attention Northwest Philly socialites! There’s plenty to see and do here in Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy, East Falls, Roxborough, Manayunk, West Oak Lane, Germantown and the 'burbs close by. As an alternative to dealing with the crowds, the traffic, and the parking (tickets!) in Center City, stay local and socialize close to your own 'hood. We’ll engage in indoor activities as well as outdoor ones - anything from a Sunday brunch to a walk in the Wissahickon. Everyone is welcome to join, especially those in their 30s and 40s who’d like to make new friends and expand their social network.
Here are some reasonable expectations that need to be stated:
• You need a SOLO (CROPPED) HEAD SHOT as your PROFILE PHOTO to be admitted into the group. If we can't see your face using the Meetup mobile app on a smartphone, then we can't find you at an event. Pleasedon't waste your time applying without one; you'll automatically be rejected.
• We are not a singles / dating group. Guys, women don't want to be hit on at events, or asked out on a date through Meetup messaging. If you have good rapport with someone and a connection develops, that's great; tactlessly behaving like the group is a singles bar is not. Have some class and know the difference!
• Quality over quantity. We're interested in attracting friendly people who enjoy hanging out together, not folks who join 50 Meetups but never show up.
• Courtesy counts. If you RSVP Yes to an event but can't make it, you need to change your RSVP to No, or post a comment if the event has already started. Give us the same courtesy you would give to your friends, because we are. Generally speaking, three "no shows" and / or a habit of last-minute cancellations when we have restaurant reservations will get you removed from the group.
That's it! We've got a good group of quality people who go out and have a great time at least once a week. We can always use a few more. Hopefully, you'll join us!
