This climb is re-scheduled from the original June 11th date to July 9th due to the access road being closed cause of high snow levels.
We will climb the non technical South Climb route. Leaving in the morning of June 11th we'll drive to the trail head and climb to the Lunch Counter where we'll spend the night. Early the next morning we'll start the assent from which we will glissade back down, break camp and hike back to the trail head.Sunday will be a long day.
While the climb is non technical it will require stamina, a certain amount of knowledge about backpacking, climbing with crampons and self arrest. There will be a pre-climb meeting a few days before the climb.
The summit is at 12,276 feet which is high enough to where some people experience altitude sickness.
Climb team members will be chosen based on first come first serve, prior experience and prior climb with this group.
