COME SEE THE BEAUTIFUL FALL COLORS AT ONE OF THE MOST SCENIC HIKES IN ILLINOIS!!
We are planning an approximately 8 mile hike from the St. Louis Canyon to the LaSalle Canyon with many scenic canyons and overlooks along the way. We will set a brisk pace, but will stop frequently to enjoy the canyons and waterfalls. The total hiking time will be approximately 4 to 4.5 hours.
The weather in October is unpredictable and we will hike in almost any conditions!! Dress in layers and make sure you bring plenty of water and snacks for the trail. For those interested, we will be heading over to Duffy's Tavern and Grill after the hike for a late lunch.
Park your car at the Starved Rock Lodge (not the Visitor's Center) and we'll meet in the main hall near the sofas/fireplace just outside the gift shop. Please be on time as we will be heading out promptly at 10:00am!!
