Are you interested in corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and ethical business? Are you a professional in this field, blogger, student, academic or supporter? Do you want to learn more, explore new ideas, start or boost a career in this field? Then our Meetup group is for you!
Join and become an active member by attending our events and networking with other professionals who share your interest in CSR. We develop opportunities to learn and get inspired, present and showcase ideas and projects, discover information about the goings on in the field, and obtain valuable peer review and feedback. We consciously do not charge for membership and do our best to keep our events free of charge. This allows a wider audience to explore and experience CSR, a key aspect we believe is highly important to this emerging field.
The New York Corporate Social Responsibility Meetup Group is a professional organization which offers its members an open community for learning and networking with other professionals who share an interest in corporate social responsibility, sustainability and corporate citizenship. We develop events and opportunities to learn and get inspired, present and showcase ideas and projects, discover information about the goings on in the field, and obtain valuable peer review and feedback. Membership is free and accessible by signing up on our meetup.com Web site.
Currently, we offer members two opportunities to connect with others in this field - through our CSR Connect and Insight Tuesdays events, both structured to allow for networking before and after the evening program. CSR Connect (formerly CSR Socials) events were formed to educate and connect members with each other while gaining an understanding of the impact various organizations have in the field. Select corporate social responsibility professionals present on their area of expertise as we listen and ask questions. Insight Tuesdays is a kind of book club for professionals - we read and meet up to discuss CSR literature such as chapters of CSR books, white papers, articles, reports and studies as well as view webinars, instructional videos and other media, across all categories of the industry. To obtain the documents for each month's readings (free of charge), go to the "More" tab on our Meetup page and then click "Files."
