Second Hardware Start-up Meetup!

  • August 28, 2012 · 7:00 PM

Hey folks,

I'm ready to announce the next hardware startup meetup! Lets aim to build on the amazing energy and momentum of the first one - we're going to have a fantastic speaker, Jeff Glasse, CEO of Kogeto, who'll talk about how they went from Kickstarter, to raising investment money, dealing with manufacturing and getting their products into Apple stores. We'll also have 2 great start-ups pitching. As usual, there'll be pizza and beer, so get off the beach, put your sandals back on, and get yourselves over to the next meetup to see what the community is up to!

I've put a $5 fee (through paypal) which should cover beer and pizza. If you prefer not to use paypal, then RSVP and you can give me the money in person on the night (although I'd prefer it if you pay online).

7:00 - 7:15pm: arrival, pizza and beer
7:15 - 7:45pm: Jeff Glasse, CEO of Kogeto
7:45 - 7:55pm: Charley Hendee, CTO of Tactonic Technologies
7:55 - 8:05pm: Diego Vargas, CTO of Wattvision
8:05 - 9:30pm: mingling

Location:This time we will be hosted at the amazing Collab space in the West Village!

Awesome! As a HW guy I felt like a fish dunked back into water. The featured speech from the founder of Kogeto was filled with many gems of insight. Well worth the day-trip from DC for this.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
