I mostly live in Seattle, but I'm in NYC for the summer working as director of innovation of a new nonprofit. This is a few months away from my startup, in part to find hardware people interested in building beautiful products for emerging markets. The engineering challenges are different, and engaging, and rewarding. Every BOM tradeoff has implications for usability and durability in difficult environments, and that's part of the puzzle we try to solve. Interested?
I'm co-founder and CEO of a hardware startup making low cost medical devices for the developing world. I work with makers and hardware hackers around the world to do global co-design and create beautifully designed, human centered technologies.
