Why are you interested in joining the NY hardware start-up meetup?

I've been a MechE student for four years, and am continuing to learn as much as I can about designing and manufacturing awesome products based around human-centric solutions. I've been a tinkerer for longer, and love making things. Tech start-ups offer the perfect mix of science and business, and allow awesome technology to change people’s lives for the better. I’ve studied engineering entrepreneurship at Penn, and am looking to get experience as soon as possible. I’m currently starting a company based around my senior design project, which was a powered upper-body skeleton ( NY is an awesome place to be as an entrepreneurial engineer. I’m currently working at MakerBot for the summer as a process and mechanical engineer at their new factory in Sunset Park. As awesome as work is, NY also offers me the chance to meet other entrepreneurs, engineers, and professionals who have amazing experiences and ambition that I can learn from.

I'm a UPenn ME student working at Makerbot for the summer and pursuing a startup in assistive medical devices. Developed a powered, upper body exoskeleton ( for my senior design project. I'll be completing my Masters in ME next year.
