Dear hardwarians,

I hope you're all well and have started the year off in style. This Tuesday from 6:30-9:30pm is our next meetup and we have an impressive line up. Most importantly, there has been a change in venue, and we will be hosted at BMW iVentures, 95 Morton St, 7th Floor, New York, which is in the West Village. Our keynote speaker will be Alex Hawkinson, CEO of Smart Things who has just raised $3M in a series A round. Among their investors are folks from NYC, and he'll tell us their story.

Also, there is space for one more startup to pitch on that day, so if you're interested please send me an email and I will fit you in. Format will be 5 minutes presentation followed by 5 minutes Q&A.

Finally, The Next Top Maker competition is having an event together with 3DEA and IDEO called The Business of Design at the 3DEA Pop up store on Tuesday January 22nd - sounds like a great event. More info and sign up here
