It's another Monday, supposedly in Summer, with the week ahead to churn out your hardware prototypes and get them into the hands of customers. Some cool things to start the week with:
1) Last chance to join the Make Your Own PCB Class! We'll be teaching you how to design and assemble your own Arduino clone from scratch! The class is two full-day sessions, two weeks apart (June 15th and 29th). First day is learning and designing in software, and two weeks later, we assemble what we all created. More details can be found here: http://makeyourownpcb2.eventbrite.com/ Last few tickets remaining so grab yours quick!
2) I came across this great blog post about how to price your hardware product. Really good stuff in there.
3) Have a cool hardware idea but short on cash to prototype? Protolabs has launched an award called the Cool Idea! award. They will provide free CNC machining and/or injection molding services to those with a fresh and innovative product idea just waiting to emerge. Unlike other product awards that recognize products after they’re in mass production and on store shelves, Proto Labs’ Cool Idea! Award is meant to help cool ideas come to life. Previous award recipients can be found here. Sarah Braun is in charge of the competition and can be reached on [address removed]. Good luck!
4) Finally we have a date for the next meetup, it will be on June 27th. Please pencil it in to your diaries, and I'll send out the agenda in the next few days.
