Hey hardwarians,

I am sooo excited to send this email out. Here go two massive opportunities for the community:

2 day HW bootcamp

After a month or so of preparation with Marc Barros (founder of Contour Cameras) and Idan Cohen (founder of Boxee), we are pleased to announce a 2 day hardware bootcamp on December 6th-7thThe workshop is designed for founders of hardware startups to help you learn how to get from an idea to market fit. The curriculum is broken up into a series of 60 minute sessions, taught by experienced hardware startup operators. This workshop aims to provide lessons applicable in building a successful hardware startup, including topics like manufacturing, defining a brand, prototype ugly and early, choosing a supplier, packaging, getting into retail and made in America. We hope you leave the workshop with a deeper understanding of what it takes to turn your idea into a successful company.

Confirmed speakers include Scott Miller from Dragon Innovation, Marc Barros and Idan Cohen, Peter Semmelhack from Buglabs, Tyler Mincey (former iPod and iPhone product development at Apple), and folks from Highway 1, Bolt, R/GA, Astro Studios and Canary.

There will be only 50 spots available so if you're interested, we encourage you to apply here. It promises to be an unforgettable event. If you don't make it in, we are planning to record the talks, and I will circulate that once it's ready.
