where is BobBarr? If he is not here for this event, what is he doing? NYC is the centre of media, should he not be invited?

Patrick - this event in very NYC and even specifally 14th District. Not really appropriate for a presidential candidate. Good idea though

I organized the thing so I am a little biased but I thought the Town Hall came off very well. All the feedback I got from attendees and the speakers was very positive. I think we really acheived something. In an election cycle that is surprisingly un-exciting we did something few others are doing. We brought together people from a wide range of political opinions to factually discuss the biggest issue facing the country today. We had the Democrat incumbant's representative, her Libertarian and Republican challengers as well as representatives of the Greens and Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty. The audience questions were extremely intelligent. I think the content of the speakers answers was remarkably enlightening. On top of the the conversation afterward at the bar was nothing short of inspiring. Perhaps some of that was the beer talking but I am sure some of it was real too.
