How did you hear about our group?

The Joseph Campbell Foundation website.

Tell us a little about your interest in Mythology

I love Jung's most inspired/inspiring interpreters: Edward Edinger, Mircea Eliade, James Hillman, Robert A. Johnson, Robert Moore, Henri J. M. Nouwen, Murray Stein, Ann & Barry Ulanov, and others.

Additional information:

Myths are are just stories, and yet they have an uncanny power to shape how we experience ourselves in the world. Having a narrative of some kind seems a central part of how the human mind works. I believe we are always living out SOME kind of story.

Watching Joseph Campbell's interviews with Bill Moyers was my impetus for seeking out a like-minded group. The warmth, authenticity and generosity of Joseph Campbell in these interviews made me say, "I want to be that kind of man."

What Mark R. is saying about this Meetup Group

Savor this group! It's a mixing pot where mythology, psychology, religious doctrine and hard science all get their freak on.
