This is another event under the N More part of NY Outdoor N More.
While this is a Sunday night, you can't beat this combination and the price $20.00 in advance -$25.00 Day of Show is spot on. I suggest buying your ticket ASAP.
Note: Each ticket comes with a $3.00 surcharge. In addition, there is an option to purchase a ticket for the show or a ticket with the option for dinner with specific seating times. (I am assuming those who sign on for dinner will be closer to the stage.)
I am going to wait until this weekend to purchase my ticket. If you are interested in dinner, please indicate that in your RSVP. I will circle back with you this weekend so that we confirm. At a minimum, I am a yes for the show.
Description: Bonnie Raitt, who has recorded Maia Sharp's songs and has had Maia open performances for her, said "Maia is making some of the most innovative and soulful music around with songs that are head and shoulders above the rest. She has become one of my favorite artists." Aside from Kim Richey's 2 Grammy nods, she has released five critically acclaimed albums; been listed in the Top 10 Albums of 1999 in US Time Magazine; was given 4 stars in Rolling Stone; and was named Alt-Country Album Of The Year in People Magazine.
Maia Sharp: Maia Sharp wears many hats. She has had her songs recorded by The Dixie Chicks, Bonnie Raitt, Trisha Yearwood, Keb’ Mo’, Cher, Edwin McCain, David Wilcox, Art Garfunkel, Paul Carrack, Lisa Loeb and many more. She produced Edwin McCain's last album Mercy Bound (429 Records) and most recently two songs for Art Garfunkel's retrospective double album The Singer (Sony). And through it all, Maia has continued to record her own albums. She has five solo releases and one collaborative project with Art Garfunkel and Buddy Mondlock that have all been critically acclaimed and enthusiastically embraced by press and radio. Each release has led to extensive touring throughout the US and UK and appearances on Mountain Stage, Acoustic Cafe, World Cafe, NPR's "All Things Considered," CBS Early Morning and the Today Show to name a few. Her latest album Change the Ending, released last August by Blix Street Records has led to more good reviews, a video for its first single “Me After You” and another string of dates opening for rock and roll hall of famer, Bonnie Raitt.
