Terrain: Easy to moderate, mainly rolling hills.

Distance: 4+ miles

2nd group - Near the end of the hike, for those that have more time oe wish more exercise, we sometimes break the group up (The 2nd group will do 5+ miles in 2 hours.).

Pace: Moderate to brisk. Although this is a beginner hike, and nobody gets left behind, we walk at a very brisk pace! Please assess your ability to keep this pace before signing up.

The Parking lot is located on the south side of Route 117 approximately halfway between Route 9A to the East and Route 9 to the West. There are gates and stone walls at the entrance, a large horse-trailer parking lot, a little toll booth, a visitors center and a bathroom building.

The group was really happy to see Dave, the sheep dogs were happy to see Dave, they put the lambs out to pasture to celebrate his joining us. Group did 3.3 mph, with Julia and Patrick occasionally spurting out to 5.7 mph. Air and temp were perfect for pushing the edge of the envelope and the 2hr group did 6 miles.
