Wednesday 6:30pm short hike - Brewster/Danbury border (next to Interstate 84)

FARRINGTON WOODS has just opened to the public. It is a new 200- acre park bordered by NY State and Route 6 (next to I 84).  The trails are still under construction.

Distance : about 3 miles

Time: 1  1/2 hours

Terrain: Trails and old roads. 1 short steep trail, maybe 2 (one short section I did not scout).

Pace: Moderate

Optional Flashlight: We exit on a dirt road and we will be exiting around sunset. 

DIRECTIONS:    199 Grand Army of the Republic Highway (GAR), Danbury, Ct.

FROM 684  Take 84 east and get off your 1st exit (exit1). At end of ramp turn left. Come up to light and turn left unto route 6, take an immediate right over a small bridge and proceed past white buildings to the parking lot.

FROM 84 HEADING WEST  Off at exit 1, end of ramp turn right.  At traffic light turn left unto route 6, take an immediate right over a small bridge and proceed past white buildings to the parking lot.
