Come join our friends, at Metro Anime, for some Anime viewing, socializing and some fun.
Metro Anime's next regular monthly "Metro Anime Sunday Lunch" showing is on Sunday, October 18, 2009, from 12:00 Noon through 6:00 PM, in the Surfers' Dining Room of Maui Tacos, on the lower level of Maui Tacos.
Maui Tacos is located at 330 Fifth Avenue, between West 32nd and West 33rd Streets, in Midtown, Manhattan.
Almost all content and programming, during Metro Anime's "Metro Anime Sunday Lunch" showing, will be viewed in the original Japanese Language dialogue, with English Language subtitles.
Attendees are invited and welcome to bring their own Anime, which they would like to share and show, for Metro Anime's Viewers' Choice/Bring Your Own Anime/Potluck/Potlat ch portion of the schedule.
There is a three dollar cover charge for each attendee, to help cover facilities, utilities, venue, miscellaneous and numerous other expenses.
In addition, Maui Tacos would appreciate it, if attendees ordered food from them, during their stay.
Most sentient beings are invited and welcome to join and attend.

Reni was born in Japan and began her formal ballet training at the age of seven. Since then, she has been dancing nearly every day in styles ranging from Jazz and Hip Hop to "Nihon Buyo," traditional Japanese dance. Reni expanded her talents to the theatrical world by joining the well-known Japanese company "Seinenza," where she played an active roll in both performing and directing.
In 2005, Reni won a major music contest in Tokyo, out of 1,000 participants. Her first CD was produced by Takahiro Yamautsuri, who composed music for one of the Pokemon movies. Her live performances in the major music clubs and show houses in Japan have grabbed the attention of a wide range of audiences. Her quality singing and powerful dancing in Akihabara style keeps them coming back for more. In 2008 she relocated to the U.S.A. and is quickly gaining a loyal fan base. Official Press Release:

The New York Anime Festival is an annual anime convention held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. It features exclusive and extensive anime screenings, guests from America and Japan, manga, cosplay, video games, live-action Japanese cinema, fashion, food, and the cultural treasures that gave birth to Japanese pop culture. When Is The New York Anime Festival?
September 25th - 27th, 2009. NYAF’s Exhibition Hall is open to the public on Friday from 1 PM to 7 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. Please note that the Exhibition Hall closes at 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, but panels, screenings, and special events will continue until 10:00 PM. Where Is The New York Anime Festival?
