Our client, is a global leader in subscription-based news, data, analytics, and applications platform. They are seeking to hire a Senior Software Developer to join their Search team. This is a new team that is focused to deliver a standard company-wide search engine platform for all search related activities that can be leveraged by a variety of applications. The group will build and support a core search engine that can be targeted and customized towards different Verticals of application needs for domain-specific searches.
- 3+ years experience in software development
- Expert in Solr & Lucene
- Very strong knowledge in Java
- Experience with building large-scale distributed indexing & search systems.
- Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills, with a creative and flexible attitude
- Project management and leadership experience is a plus.
