Darting through the trees, soaring 50 feet above the ground... it's a bird, it's a squirrel -- no, it's you, on an exhilarating expedition at The Adventure Center at Skytop Lodge.

From 10 to 50 feet off the ground, you'll traverse bridges, swings, slides, nets, and even an aerial surf board, all leading up to a zipline ride that will have your heart racing. And while you're not flying through the air, enjoy the 5,500 acres of scenic property that this history-rich spot sits on.

** This is a SPECIAL PRICED PACKAGE available online for the next 48 hours. Buy your ticket by clicking here. ** Grab this $40 pulse (an $80 value) and enjoy an unforgettable experience just hours from NYC in the Poconos with a 3 hour treetop ziplining package for two people. Your day also includes a tour of the canopy and a zipline ride with training, a demonstration, and a guide.

The only question remaining: who do you take on this awesome day out?

The Plan: So per Andrea, we have a 10:30 am reservation at Skytop for those to have initially signed up and purchased vouchers on Pulsd.  The length of the adventure is roughly 3 hours.  From the reviews and Youtube, there's a few obstacle and rope-climbing challenges - not too advanced or treacherous - before getting to the actual zip-lining course (*see Youtube clip below, chock full of Jackson5 music), so it's sure to be a fun day.

We will grab lunch/dinner and a beer afterwards at the Barley Creek Brewery Co. (1774 Sullivan Trail, Tannersville, PA) - which, judging by their website, makes them out to be the Gilded Otter of the Poconos- with a little bit of everything on their menu - chilli, burgers, pasta, steaks, salads, etc. plus beers with cool names such as Rescue IPA, Iron Arm Witbier and Mountaineer Mai Bock!

Weather: Come prepared w. a light backpack w. a rain layer, just in case, plus sunscreen and layering items if whipping thru Alpine trees at 50 feet will make you feel chilly - but plan accordingly for a warm afternoon also (shorts, SPF 15 or 30 apparel, sunscreen, etc.)  Check Accuweather within 24 hours of event.

Transportation: We will carpool and passengers pick up the tabs on gas/tolls. If we do not have enough drivers we will rent a van and split the cost. Please post if you need a ride or can give a ride. Drivers please post on your RSVP state from where and how many passengers you can take.

I'm also assuming it includes a tour of the canopy and a zipline ride with training, a demonstration, and a guide. This seems really cool

I suggest anyone who hasn't already purchased a ticket or partnered up with someone to grab this deal. Tickets are more expensive the day of and are not guaranteed. I made reservations for the group at 10:30, however we need to be there half an hour prior to fill out paperwork and get fitted with harnesses

Without the groupon deal, it's $45 per person on a saturday.

Also, Andrea, I suggest you get everyone's voucher number now and provide it to Skytop in advance over the phone. It'll save you time and hassle. Good luck!

Also, everyone please be sure to bring your coupons.

Groupon now has this deal as well. Although the weekend is now $45 for two people.
