My friends at Happy Science (Buddhist based non-profit organization) have been asking me to set up a Japanese chatting group so they can improve their Japanese skills and also have more experience in using the language so they won't forget. And of course so that they will have no problem when they get a chance to go to Japan.
I am not a professional teacher but I am fluent in both Japanese and English so I would like to help out those who wish to communicate better in Japanese. We will be chatting about various topics and sometimes use our temple publication to start off chats. You will definitely have opportunities to ask questions that you cannot ask your Japanese teacher!
There are no requirements to attend but we are not a beginner Japanese group so you should have at least some experience learning Japanese.
Please come join us for an enjoyable hour.

In the last meetup we followed a textbook that would guide our conversations and it went quite well.
This week, we are going to have conversations on "shopping". What'll you hear when you go to shops in Japan? If we have time, we'll also go into "eating". How to order and what not to do when you go to a restaurant in Japan. Read more
