Join fellow technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors for the NYC Chinese Entrepreneur Organization's (NYCCEO) June meetup on Wednesday 6/26/13 from 7pm-9:30pm!
[Note] Please make sure to register online with your Full name, Email and Phone Number in order to see where this Meetup is happening and get into Merrill Lynch's building.
NYCCEO is modeled after Stanford CEO where entrepreneurs and investors with interest in China or from a Chinese background share and network. Speakers for the previous 4 meetups include several serial entrepreneurs with $100m exits or acquired by companies like Google etc, several founders of NYC start-ups backed by IDG/YCombinator/Lerer/First Round Capital/Khosla, and venture capitalists from both NYC and China. Our audience is pretty diversified but all share with the same entrepreneurial spirit.
For our June meetup we will start with a few spotlight presentations from exciting startups in two different spaces demoing their business and cool technologies, including:
HeYue City - The civic engagement Internet tool HeYue City allows citizens from around China to constructively voice their suggestions on solutions for areas of improvement in their neighborhood. Chenyu Zheng graduated from Princeton University and currently serves as the community relations manager of JUCCCE and project manager of HeYue City.
Octopers - Octopers is an effective and reliable profile exchanging solution. It provides a number of innovative methods to share user’s personal information and social network information quickly and easily and meanwhile control information security.
We will then feature the following speakers:
Ed Lin, Ed is a co-founder of Subuno, a software-as-a-service platform, that helps online businesses fight against the $3.4 billions lost to online fraud every year. With close to 10 years of experience fighting online fraud, he has worked and helped hundreds of businesses learn to address their fraud and chargeback problems. He is an avid reader and loves to see the application of new technologies to fight fraud. Subuno is the 3rd startup that Ed has worked on and the 2nd that he co-founded.
Hsiao Chen, Product Designer, Communicator and serial Entrepreneur that has strong entrepreneur experience in delivering new business-driven innovation through successfully founding two startups: WonderMode.com and Axis International Services.
Ben Lin, Managing Partner of Great Oaks Venture Capital.
RSVP will end by Tuesday at 4 p.m., June 25th. Sign up today with your name, email and your contact number, and if you have any questions, please contact Wally Wang: ywang [at] stern.nyu.edu.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
