NYCCEO June Meetup: meet James Lu and startup demos

Join fellow technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors for the NYC Chinese Entrepreneur Organization's (NYCCEO) June Meetup on Thursday June 19th from 7:30pm-9:30pm!

It is our great honor to have James Lu, successful entrepreneurs and active angel investor join our June Meetup. As usual, two startups will demo their new businesses as well!

NYCCEO is where entrepreneurs and investors with interest in China or from a Chinese background share and network. Speakers for the previous 14 meetups include several serial entrepreneurs with successful IPO on Nasdaq or acquired by companies like Google etc, several founders of NYC start-ups backed by IDG/YCombinator/Lerer/First Round Capital/Khosla, and elite venture capitalists from both U.S. and China. Our audience is pretty diversified but all share with the same entrepreneurial spirit.

Featured speaker: 

James Lu is a seasoned technology executive, serial entrepreneur and active angel investor. He is currently the worldwide General Manager of Amazon Marketing Services, the self-service advertising arm of Amazon. 

Prior to Amazon, he's most recently the founder/CEO of Fits(acquired), a leading social recruiting platform to helps companies easily identify top applicants. Prior to Fits, James was the founding team andoversaw the product strategy and management of Chegg.com, the leading education solution and textbook rental company in US. In 2005, James founded the #1 oversea Chinese social network and later was acquired by a Sequoia Capital portfolio firm Zhanzuo.

Besides building world class internet products, he's also an active angel investor with successful track record like Jumei.com (NYSE:JMEI) 

James started his career as a software engineer with N.A.S.A and later served in various management capacities in healthcare and management consulting. He's a graduate of Univ. of Michigan in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with high honors.
