NYC Codecademy March Meetup

Group,

I'm pleased to announce that our next event will take place on Wednesday, March 20th at Codecademy's new home in midtown Manhattan. Come on out for inspirational stories, plenty of coding Q&A, demonstration of student projects, and refreshments provided courtesy of the good folks at Codecademy.

You'll have a chance to meet other Codecademy students, professional programmers, Codecademy staff and members of the tech community.

See you there!

Ron

This was really great. It was nice to see a diverse cross section of people coding which makes me wonder... Does or will codeacademy keep track of those who go on to be entrepreneurs, coders, etc.?

Really enjoyed my first time at Codeacadeny. Thank you for having us. I enjoyed Allan's talk on his personal project. It was a great insight into Ruby!

Thanks everyone for joining yesterday! As mentioned, you should all become Codecademy beta testers. We'll also send a short survey to gather some feedback from you guys :) See you in April!

I had a great time at the NYC Codecademy Meetup. It was great to meet the founders of Codecademy in person and see their new workspace. In the demonstration session a developer demonstrated his Ruby-on-Rails project that he has posted on Github and he talked about how he learned Ruby using Codecademy as well as other books. During the breakout session I got to talk one-on-one with one of Codecademy's developers about a SVG project that Im working on. Lots of interesting people came. Great place for beginners. Thank you Ron for hosting the event.

I am a beginner in programming. Would it be wise for me to attend this meetup or would the material be too advanced for me?

This is a perfect meetup for beginners! Bring along any questions you have about programming for the group.

I just signed up for the meetup and realize I have a conflict! I will not be there, but will be interested in future meetups.
