NYC Codecademy May Meetup

I'm pleased to announce that our May meetup will be hosted once again at Codecademy HQ.

The meetup is open to Codecademy students and coding enthusiasts at all levels of experience.

Please join us for a mix of demos and discussion covering, in part:

  • Our individual goals in learning to code
  • Our experiences with Codecademy lessons
  • Recommended tools and resources for furthering our studies
  • Q&A on programming languages
  • Career paths and market trends

If you have a topic you're interested in learning more about, or have something you're working on which you'd like to demo for the group, please let me know! This is a great opportunity to practice your teaching skills in a relaxed and friendly environment, as well as bringing up any questions that are on your mind (there are no stupid questions!)

Just a heads up, we may be joined by Globo TV, who are interested in taking some photos for a news segment they are doing about Codecademy.

Hope to see you there!

I enjoyed meeting some people that were also interested in coding. This meetup really facilitates learning in a way that is really hard to find outside of the classroom.

I was probably one of the newbies that knew the least, but everyone was nice and helpful. I thought the sharing was really great!
