On Sunday, October 21st at 3pm, Chef Ame G invites you to her Park Slop home for an afternoon of brunch, learning how to make jam, live music and drawing lessons for $35.

From Chef Ame G, "We are excited to have you have over for a jam lesson. While jam-making is going on there will be live music and sketch books and artists to help guests with figure drawing and still life drawing from the marmalade fruit! Author Elizabeth Field will lead the participatory jam workshop- and everyone will go home with a little jar of homemade jam! We look forward to having you all over."

Meet Chef Ame G: "Sometimes I teach cooking or art or a combination. I also write poems and essays about food, and create theme based menu's for several NYC salons. What I love is pushing meals into the realm of ideas while still keeping them delicious. I like to think of cooking and eating as a form of storytelling, and I love sharing a good tale. Along with Deena, who is in an artist, stylist and event planner putting an overwhelming preoccupation with food and cooking to practical good use, we run Communal Table, which brings art, ideas, activism and food right to the table. We sit down with writers, performers, artists, scientists, chefs and friends to talk and listen and to share wonderful meals and experiences."
