As part of the Rapha Women’s 100 Training Series, this standing Sunday ride will take a special route to push rider's distance and riding skills. A mix of (mainly) car-free dirt paths, paved, and gravel paths, this 50-mile route will leave from the Rapha Cycle Club NYC on Gansevoort St., head up the Hudson River Bike Path, through The Bronx and Van Cortland Park, then follow 9A to the majestic Croton Dam. We will grab lunch and then take a train ride back along Hudson River to Grand Central. Open to intermediate to advanced riders who feel comfortable on a mix of surfaces, and with some climbing (aprox 2000ft elevation). Road bikes, helmets and foot retention required. For your enjoyment, bring two water bottles, snacks, spare tubes, and an MTA bike pass ($5 for a lifetime pass).
See route at http://www.strava.com/activities/132431324 and rapha.cc/nyc for more details.
Meet at the Rapha Cycle Club at 9:00 for coffee and a 9:30 roll out. Please RSVP if interested so we have rider count and contact info as the day approaches.
