Intro:
Come and play Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition in the Living Forgotten Realms RPGA campaign. Have a good time, meet new people. If you have never played in the LFR RPGA campaign, you'll have to make a new 1st level character (using the rules in the Player's Handbook) and will have to play in a level 1-4 module. Please see this link for more info on organized play.

Signing Up:
When signing up to play, please post a comment with your character's RACE, CLASS, and LEVEL, so we can place you and other players know what sort of adventuring party to expect! Additional comments about your character / flavor other things are fine, of course. If you don't put anything, we won't put you at any tables! If you have a specific adventure you want to play with, mention the adventure code (like CORE1-4). We do NOT accomodate requests for specific DMs.

RSVP Priority:
The organizers handle the placement of people in the available games. We take your preferences into account and we do try to seat all the players we can. (Tables must consist of 1 DM and 4-6 players; no more than 6 players, no less than 4.) Those that have DMed games in the past have preferred seating. Brand new players are given slight preference over people who have played a lot. People who RSVP with guests get lowest priority. This spreadsheet tracks RPGA attendance and calculates who has RSVP priority. Please understand there is a chance you could get removed from a game to make make room for someone who has higher priority.

Be a DM! Contribute to the group!
We need to have DMs so we can have games; without DMs, there are no games at all. If you are interested in earning preferred seating as well as the friendship and appreciation of all our RPGA members by being a DM for Living Forgotten Realms, it's extremely easy: read instructions here

Received, Nathan. Thanks for answering so quickly.

In defense of playing "up", it's fine as long as your party is reasonably balanced (D, S, L). Leader x3? Not so much.

Axeman - not quite the right area- if you would have went thru the doors by the outside seating and down the stairs you would have seen a large indoor area with a lot of tables. We were spread out among those tables.

Rob - I was out on the corner of 53rd & Lex, at the open-air seating area ... isn't that the public area where we were supposed to meet? I didn't see anyone inside the building ...

Thanks for the kind words. Nathan, I need you to email me your RPGA number because the event reporting doesn't accept the one I have for you.

Good job Kentmagus, not bad for (I am assuming) GMing your first RPGA 7-10 mod. Thanks for all accomidating my Spellscarred Gnoll Rogue, made it to 8th level just befor Origins! (And I only gave Jim somewhat of a hard time....heheh)

As far as playing up, yes it can usually generally be done. Unfortunately, there are a few people (well more than a few) who when they are asked, will automatically say yes to playing up before even asking / knowing the levels and roles of the other players at the table. And that is not even taking into account, if the players have optomized characters or even enough 4e experience to "carry" their weight. When I DM, I try to give the lower level pcs ample opportunities to decline playing up.

Axeman, were you downstairs in the seating area? We had four different games spread out, with dice being thrown on them. Not sure if last night was your first time. If so, next time just wait for the right moment to politely interupt and ask for the person in charge of muster (usually Jim). So far, everone i've gamed with is real friendly.

Umm, I was at the lobby at about 6:50 (traffic sucked) ... couldn't find anyone, and I didn't get any responses to the emails I sent out either. I wish I had a cellphone to call, but I guess noone wants to publish their numbers on a public forum, eh?!

I didn't play in WalK's game last night, but I've always enjoyed his DMing. Playing up is usually fine if the party is optimized and complementary. Some adventures are just killer, though. Like DALE1-1 if run by the book, as some of you now know. And Rob, I know you're just trying to jive me 'cos you're jealous. Such a hater, man. (shakes head sadly) and after I selected the adventure in part so you could get a kewl +3 wand too . . .

Also want to thank the 2 Clerics (One Aberrant and the other a confused Elf), feral Rogue and oversized Barbarian for keeping my Wizard 7 alive. Also want to especially thank Jim for not throwing anything at me when I (playfully ?) suggested the DM should keep attacking his pc when he was already down.

Lots of last minute table changes and people stepping up to DM to keep the tables alive. Thanks everyone. It was a good time.

Thanks to Kentmagus for DMing the first 7 to 10 mod in this meetup group. Nice job - especially having to proxy a chess board and pieces for a batttlemat. Who says 4e is killing imagination ?

Guys, I'm really sorry I had to bail at the last minute. But stranded brothers have to come before D&D. :(

FYI, if they're needed, I have a couple of spare character sheets on me as well as a bunch of RPGA cards.

Sorry for the last minute cancel... I was just offered a free screening of Transformers at 7:30 tonight... and you guys aren't as sexy as Megan Fox... Nor are your characters.
