Intro:
Come and play Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition in the Living Forgotten Realms RPGA campaign. Have a good time, meet new people. If you have never played in the LFR RPGA campaign, you'll have to make a new 1st level character (using the rules in the Player's Handbook) and will have to play in a level 1-4 module. Please see this link for more info on organized play.

Signing Up:
When signing up to play, please post a comment with your character's RACE, CLASS, and LEVEL, so we can place you and other players know what sort of adventuring party to expect! Additional comments about your character / flavor other things are fine, of course. If you don't put anything, we won't put you at any tables! If you have a specific adventure you want to play with, mention the adventure code (like CORE1-4). We do NOT accomodate requests for specific DMs. If you are bringing a guest, we need to know the guest's name.

RSVP Priority:
The organizers handle the placement of people in the available games. We take your preferences into account and we do try to seat all the players we can. (Tables must consist of 1 DM and 4-6 players; no more than 6 players, no less than 4.) Those that have DMed games in the past have preferred seating. Brand new players are given slight preference over people who have played a lot. People who RSVP with guests get lowest priority. This spreadsheet tracks RPGA attendance and calculates who has RSVP priority. Please understand there is a chance you could get removed from a game to make make room for someone who has higher priority.

Be a DM! Contribute to the group!
We need to have DMs so we can have games; without DMs, there are no games at all. If you are interested in earning preferred seating as well as the friendship and appreciation of all our RPGA members by being a DM for Living Forgotten Realms, it's extremely easy: read instructions here

As of 6/25:
CORE1-4, lvl 4-7; DM Nathan Meyers; players: Jim, Andrew, WalK, Derek DeGeer, AndySAE, Daren

AGLA1-1, lvl 1-4; DM T Michael; players: Orren, Nick, Shaun H, Gary D, kentmagus, Matt

?? DMs - either Manuel or Johnny Tek, lvl 1-4; Rob R, John, Matt Weber, David Abrahams, Thomas, klaus, Brian

(For this group, I don't know if there's an adventure, or if the DMs will have a level 1-4 adventure prepared. However, that's all the DMs we have for this week, so people will just have to make do with what's available. If this game doesn't go off, well, this is why I ask for DMs and reserve DMs. I would normally try my best to seat more players, especially the new players, but both the other tables are filled with veteran DMs/organizers, or new players, who have preferred seating (in that order).)

Note - Orren, Rob R (a veteran DM for the group) switched out so you could get a seat. If you see him sometime, please say thanks.

Remember, we need DMs. Sign up for next week if you can DM. If you can't DM, well, that's OK by me, but remember, you might not get to play either. DMs have highest priority to play.

Blank RSVPs(2)(don't get put at tables):Johnny, carrington bibuld II

Can't make it tonight - just got more work dumped on me. Sorry for late notice -- looks like there are alternates who plan on coming (Brian). Good luck. Daren

They need to write more lvl 1-4 modules. I guess My Realms gives more options.

Okay I'll bring in AKAN1-1 The Rotting Ruin of Galain Amidst goblin raids originating from the ruined town of Galain, you are asked by a young genasi woman to locate her brother. Lost or deceased, it?s up to you to find him! A Living Forgotten Realms adventure set in Akanul for characters levels 1-4.

Orren, Rob R gave you his seat. Good ol' Rob R. (Makes his wife happy too)
  • Posted Jun 29, 2009 9:21 AM
Jim - Please give my seat to another player. If a higher level mod or a lower level one I need goes off great, otherwise I'll take the week off. It'll make my wife happy. In any case, I'll monitor the group to see what is going on.

DMs, please sign up for NEXT TUESDAY'S MEETUP if you can DM. Advance notice helps tables be set, or we just have a pool of players with uncertain plans, like we do this week.

Johnny, we're not going to have enough level 7+ players to reliably put together a level 7-10 table. Prepare a level 1-4 adventure as well, please.

Starting a new job, so not sure if i'll be free in time....might show up 15 min or so late and see if any table will have me.

Johnny Tek Okay I'll do AGLA1-3 since I haven't done one in that region. AGLA1-3 The Worst of All Snares There are those in Aglarond who seek to undo the harmony that defines this peninsular nation. A request for aid from a local wizard draws you into the savage underbelly of the slums of Old Velprintalar to confront these villains and put an end to their plans. A Living Forgotten Realms adventure set in Aglarond for characters levels 7-10.
  • Posted Jun 28, 2009 7:15 PM
    I'd like AGLA1-3.
  • Posted Jun 28, 2009 2:48 PM
Johnny - I would like to play CORM1-3, CORM1-4 or AGLA1-3. But pretty much any 7-10 mod other than AKAN 1-3, BALD 1-3, or TYMA 1-3 is nice.

I will run a 7-10 for this one. If I get a call from the theater, it will most likely be more than 24 hours before game time. If there aren't enough for a 7-10 then I will run a 1-4. Any mod requests?

We still need 1-2 more DMs, in case there's a last minute DM cancellation or more players sign up. PLEASE sign up if you can DM.

Jim will make the final assignments, but at this time, I am DM'ing the only Level 1 to 4. I count Shaun (Shifter Rogue?), Sam (Elven Shaman), Matt Weber (Halfling Archer Ranger), James H (Dwarf Cleric or Elf Ranger), Matt (Dwarf fighter), and John (Elf Ranger). Remember since this adventure takes place in Aglarond and involves Fey gods, being a fey character (Eladrin, Elf, Half-Elf, or Gnome) has "advantages".

BTW, it's tough for wangka to make the new location. He probably won't be able to come for this meetup; I figure he'll change his RSVP to "Yes" or "No" when he knows.

    •  A real good DM and one of the most entertaining to boot. Good times...
    •  Thanks to everyone who assisted me with the rules, I reall need that imput, still getting used to 4th. Overall had a good time.
    •  T_Michael was a fun DM. The human wizard told a story about the creation of the first dryad for his Diplomacy check. The dwarf let the pixies tie ribbons in his hair and Smash the ogre was dressed up with the FR equivalent of a baseball bat. The eladrin wizard tried to perform Acrobatics and ended up with a sprained ankle. The minotaur fighter showed the giant boar how to charge properly. Fey vermin are surprisingly tough. The eladrin wizard bluffed the evil cleric into believing he was on his side. "Join me, eladrin, and together we can tule the galaxy. " "Okay!" Phrasing may not be exact. He barely avoided being attacked by his own party., Wonderful game.
    •  Great DM work from Johnny Tek, solid teamwork from the rest.
    •  Great game... great group.
    •  Great job DMing Nate! I thought the skill challenge was handled particularly well, you made us work for it but it tied the whole adventure together.
    •  Great group, great DM, had a blast (pun intended).
    •  DM was great, had a good group. Overall an excellent first time at LFR.
